How to activate Jaimie in Microsoft Teams?

Jaimie is your 24/7 virtual AI Office Assistant for everything related to Bringme. Whether you need notifications for a package delivery or a visitor arrival, Jaimie keeps you informed. You can also ask Jaimie questions about how Bringme works.

📃Answer

Note: before activating Jaimie for your organization, make sure you have uploaded your users to the system so they are connected to the Bringme Box and/or Desk. Otherwise, they will get an error message when Jaimie is activated, as we won't recognize their profiles.

To install Jaimie for Microsoft Teams, follow the steps outlined below. You can install it individually or roll it out organization-wide, depending on your needs.

Prerequisites

  • Bringme needs to activate Jaimie for your organization. Submit a request here and include your Microsoft TenantId. (Not sure what that is? Learn more here.)

  • You must have a Microsoft Office 365 account with access to Microsoft Teams.

  • To install the app across your organization, you need to be a Teams Service Admin.

Individual Install

  1. Search for “Jaimie” in the Microsoft Teams Apps section to install it individually. (Learn more here).

Org-Wide Policy Install
If you want to install Jaimie for everyone in your organization, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Teams Admin dashboard.

  2. Select "Teams apps" -> "Permission Policies."

  3. Edit or add a Global (Org-wide default) policy and make sure you allow Third-party apps.

  4. Once third-party apps are allowed, go to "Manage apps" and search for “Jaimie” to ensure its status says "Allow."

  5. Go to Setup policies > Select your Global Policy > Add apps > Add the Jaimie app and save it.

  6. Wait 24-36 hours for the policy to propagate across your organization as per Microsoft's guidelines.
