Bringme Bell & Teams configuration

🔎Introduction

This guide is intended for technical administrators, typically from your internal IT department or an external service provider, to facilitate the integration of the Bringme Bell with Microsoft Teams. By following this process, your organization will be able to receive calls from the Bringme Bell directly in Teams and unlock the door using the Teams client by entering a DTMF code. This integration requires the use of CyberTwice's CyberGate, a subscription-based SaaS solution hosted on Azure. CyberGate enables organizations that use Microsoft Teams to connect IP devices with two-way audio and live video directly to Teams.

📃Answer

The integration process consists of the following high-level steps:

  1. Purchase CyberGate via Microsoft Azure Marketplace or Microsoft AppSource.
  2. Activate CyberGate and add devices.
  3. Communicate credentials to Bringme securely.

Requirements:

  • At least one Bringme Bell.
  • A static WAN IP address where the Bringme Bell is installed.
  • Firewall rules configured to allow outgoing SIP (5061) and SRTP traffic.
  • A Microsoft 365 tenant with a subscription that includes Teams.
  • A Global Administrator role in Office 365.
  • Access to Microsoft AppSource or Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

Once the requirements are met, you can proceed with the technical setup.

Step A - Azure Marketplace

To purchase CyberGate via the Azure Marketplace:

  • Open your preferred browser and log into Azure with an account that has Global Administrator rights.

  • Search for “Cybergate” and select the application marked in yellow.

  • Subscribe to the "Cybergate Flex Plan", selecting your subscription and resource group. Choose your preferred billing type.

  • The number of users refers to the number of Bringme Bell devices you want to integrate, not the number of Teams users.
  • After subscribing, go to the CyberGate Management Portal to activate your purchase.

Step B - Microsoft AppSource

To purchase CyberGate via AppSource:

  • Follow the purchase steps, selecting your billing and payment method.

  • After purchasing, you will be redirected to the CyberGate Management Portal to activate your subscription.

Step C - CyberGate Management Portal

Once your CyberGate subscription is activated, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the CyberGate Management Portal with the same admin credentials used for the purchase.
  • Configure the global settings:
    • Grant limited access to your Azure environment.
    • Add a fixed WAN IP address where the Bringme Bell is installed.
    • Enable the “Secure-only” policy to ensure encrypted SIP communication.

  • Under device settings, add a device for each intercom or camera.

    • Assign a name to the device and select “Intercom” as the type.
    • Set the door opening code to "00", which will be used in Teams to unlock the door.

  • Copy both the "Authentication username" and "Password" for future reference.

Communicating Information to Bringme

Once the configuration is complete, securely share the following information with Bringme:

  • Authentication username and password.
  • The call flow details, such as which Teams users should receive calls from the Bringme Bell, whether calls should be parallel or serial, and the email addresses of involved users.
  • If unsure about the call flow, contact your Customer Success Manager at Bringme for guidance.

How to Safely Share Your Information

A temporary link will be provided to securely share the credentials and call flow details. These details will be deleted once the configuration is finalized on Bringme's side. This step is essential for completing the integration.
