Why does my letterbox in the Bringme Box not open when I log in?

🔎 Introduction

Some Bringme Boxes have letterboxes for your mail next to the parcel compartments. This article helps when you log in at the Bringme Box, but your letterbox does not open, or you do not see the option to open it. It only applies if your Bringme Box has letterboxes.

📃 Answer

You log in at the Bringme Box with your QR code, your 8-digit code or your badge, but your letterbox stays closed, even when you can see mail inside.

A letterbox only opens for the Bringme accounts that are linked to it. Your building manager, who manages Bringme for your building, links residents to their letterbox. When you have just moved in, or the residents of your apartment have changed, the letterbox can still be linked to the previous residents and not yet to your account.

1. Contact your building manager and ask them to link your letterbox to your Bringme account. Give them your name, your apartment or letterbox number, and the email address of your Bringme account.
2. Once your building manager confirms it is done, log in at the Bringme Box again. Your letterbox opens.

💡 Tip: several people can be linked to the same letterbox. If you share your apartment, everyone who wants to open the letterbox can ask the building manager to link their own account.

Still not working?

• Check that your building manager linked the letterbox to the account you log in with. If you have more than one Bringme account, the letterbox only opens for the account that is linked to it.
