🔎 Introduction
Whether it is a spare mouse or a temporary laptop, lending IT equipment to colleagues does not have to be complicated. With the Bringme Box you prepare the item in advance and your colleague collects it at a moment that suits them, without anyone from the IT team having to be on site. Everything stays traceable and organised.
Use the steps below when you do not know yet who will collect the item, for example when you keep a few spare items ready. Do you already know which colleague will receive it? Then you can select that person by name straight away, as explained in this article.
📃 Answer
Follow these steps to prepare an item for a colleague.
- Log in to the Bringme Box with your Bringme Badge or your QR code. This article explains how to scan your QR code correctly.
- Select ‘Create a delivery’ and then ‘DEPOSIT NOW – SHARE PICKUP CODE LATER’.
- Add a description of the item, for example "wireless mouse", and a photo if you want. A clear description helps you find the right delivery again later.
- Place the item in the compartment that opens and close it.
- When a colleague asks for the item, share the pickup code from the Bringme App:
- Open the Bringme App and go to Deliver & Pickup.
- Select the delivery from the overview.
- Tap Share and send the QR code to your colleague with the app of your choice, for example Teams or Outlook.
Your colleague shows this QR code at the Bringme Box to open the compartment and collect the item.
💡 Tip: the code works only once and only for this delivery. Once it has been used, it expires automatically.
