In which language does my visitor receive the preregistration email?

🔎 Introduction

When you invite a visitor, they receive a preregistration email with their QR code and visit instructions. This email is sent in a specific language. This article explains what determines that language, and how you can change it.

📃 Answer

Default: the language of your account

If you invite a visitor by manually adding invite@bringme.com to your meeting request, the preregistration email is sent in the language set on your own Bringme account, not in the visitor's language.

  1. Open the Bringme App.
  2. Tap the menu icon in the top left, scroll down and tap your name, then select Account.
  3. Under the Profile tab, change the Language field.

Changing your account language this way also changes the language of preregistration emails you send afterwards, for every visitor, until you change it again.

Choose the language per invitation with the Outlook Invite button

If you use the Bringme Invite Outlook add-in instead of adding invite@bringme.com manually, you can pick the visitor's language from a dropdown for each individual invitation. This is the easiest way to make sure every visitor receives the email in their own language, without changing your account settings.

Choose the language manually with a language specific address

Instead of the general invite@bringme.com address, you can add one of the following addresses to your meeting request to send the invitation in a specific language:

  • invite.nl@bringme.com for Dutch
  • invite.fr@bringme.com for French
  • invite.en@bringme.com for English
