🔎 Introduction
You invited a visitor to a meeting with several colleagues. When your visitor signs in at the Bringme Desk, everyone who was invited to that meeting receives a notification, not only you as the host. In this article you read why that happens and what is expected from each person.
📃 Answer
There are two kinds of notification, so everyone has the information they need without everyone walking to the entrance.
- You are the host: you receive a notification asking you to welcome your visitor. You can let your visitor know that you are on your way, or forward the notification to a colleague if you cannot go yourself. If you do not respond, you receive a reminder after three minutes.
- You are another participant: you receive an informative notification. No action is needed from you, you simply know that the visitor has arrived and that the meeting can start.
This way of working has three advantages:
- Everyone knows where they stand: all participants see at the same moment that the visitor is there, so they can go to the meeting room on time.
- Your visitor does not wait unnecessarily: if you are delayed, a colleague can take over the welcome.
- Nobody has to chase information: no one needs to call around to find out whether the visitor has arrived.
💡 Tip: you receive these notifications in the Bringme App and by e-mail. In this article you read how visitor notifications work and where you set your preferences.
