🔎 Introduction
Every delivery in the Bringme Box is linked to your personal Bringme account, and you open the Box with your own access code. That way, only you can collect your parcel. Are you not at the office when your parcel arrives, because you work from home, you are travelling or you are on leave? Your parcel stays in the Bringme Box, so you can collect it yourself when you are back. Do you need it sooner, then you can have a colleague collect it for you. In this article you read how that works, and what to keep in mind before you share your code.
📃 Answer
Step 1: share your access code
- Open the Bringme App and go to your QR code.
- Take a screenshot of the QR code, or copy the code of 8 characters shown below it.
- Send it to the colleague who will collect the parcel for you.
Step 2: your colleague collects the parcel
- At the Bringme Box, your colleague presses Sign in.
- Your colleague scans the QR code, or taps Enter your code and enters the code of 8 characters.
- The compartments linked to your account open automatically.
💡 Tip: this article shows step by step how to sign in at the Bringme Box.
Good to know before you share your code
- Your code opens everything that is linked to your account. Not only the parcel you are waiting for, but every delivery in the Bringme Box for your account, and your letterbox compartment if you have one. So share your code only with someone you trust.
- The delivery stays in your name. Your colleague collects it for you, but cannot receive their own deliveries with your code.
- Your code keeps working until you renew it. You do that yourself, see step 3.
Step 3: renew your code afterwards
Once your parcel has been collected, open your QR code in the Bringme App and tap Renew code just below it. Your old QR code and your old code of 8 characters stop working immediately, so your colleague no longer has access to your next deliveries. In this article you read how to renew your code in the app and on app.bringme.com.
💡 Tip: renew your code right after the parcel has been collected, so you do not forget.
