How can I share access to my Bringme Box with family members or roommates?

Do you live together with family or roommates, and would you like them to be able to use the Bringme Box as well? There are two ways to arrange that, depending on what they need: you share your own access code, or each person gets a personal Bringme account. In this article you read both options and what to keep in mind.

Option 1: share your access code

This is the quickest way when someone collects a delivery for you now and then.

1. Open the Bringme App and go to your QR code.
2. Take a screenshot of the QR code, or copy the code of 8 characters shown below it.
3. Send it to the person who will collect the delivery.
4. At the Bringme Box, that person presses Sign in and scans the QR code, or taps Enter your code and enters the code of 8 characters.

Good to know before you share your code:

• Your code opens everything that is linked to your account. Every delivery in the Bringme Box for your account, and your letterbox compartment if you have one. So share your code only with someone you trust.
• Deliveries stay in your name. With your code, the other person cannot receive deliveries under their own name.
• Renew your code when you no longer want to give access. Open your QR code in the Bringme App and tap Renew code. Your old QR code and your old code of 8 characters stop working immediately. This article shows how to renew your code.

Option 2: a personal account for each person

Do your family members or roommates want to receive deliveries under their own name? Then a personal Bringme account is the better choice. Ask your building manager to create an account for them. Everyone then has their own access code, their own notifications and their own deliveries, and you no longer need to share your code.
