I moved out, but I still get a delivery notification from the Bringme Box at my old address. What should I do?

🔎 Introduction

You no longer live in the building, but you still get notifications from the Bringme Box at your old address, for example that a parcel is waiting for you. This happens because your Bringme account is still linked to that Bringme Box. What you do next depends on whether a delivery is registered on your account.

📃 Answer

First: check your account

  1. Log in to the Bringme App, or on your computer via app.bringme.com. You do not need a password: you enter your email address and receive a login code by email. See how to log in to the Bringme App.
  2. Check whether a delivery is waiting on your account.

No delivery on your account

Delete your Bringme account yourself. Your account is then no longer linked to the Bringme Box at your old address, and the notifications stop.

  1. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top left corner, then tap your first name in the bottom left corner.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Scroll down, select "Delete account" and confirm.

You can read the full steps in how to delete your Bringme account.

💡 Tip: do you also use Bringme at your new address? Then do not delete your account. Ask the administrator of your old building to remove you from the Bringme Box there instead.

A delivery is registered on your account

You no longer live there, so the parcel is most likely meant for someone else, for example the new resident. The administrator of your old building sorts this out.

  1. Contact the administrator of your old building, for example the property manager or syndic.
  2. Tell them you have moved out and that a delivery is still registered on your account.
  3. The administrator checks the name on the parcel label and makes sure the parcel reaches the right person.
  4. Ask the administrator to disconnect you from the Bringme Box at that address. The notifications then stop.
